This is from something I posted previously from ...English is the Worst Language. If you haven't read this, I recommenced you do so. It's insightful if you're not a native speaker (hell, even if you are it might be good for an English refresher!), it's comical, and also incredibly true. There was one picture however I found it useful and thus I am posting this single clip here for permanent reference:
It's about adjectives and how to use them. It's funny because you think you know the rules but then you see them laid out like this and suddenly the brain is thinking: Crap, have I done that correctly in my own writing? However, some of you may not realize there are rules to using adjectives in your writing as well as speaking, and thus this would be good for you to read, perhaps even study. Anyways, here it is, the rules on using adjectives:
p.s.: I realize it says "almost none of us could write it out", however it is very possible and as I've learned in my writing classes, this is how it must be done. Sorry folks!
