Good Advice You'll Hate
p.s.: I did not write this, obviously, but I certainly took this advice. Not on account of reading this—in fact, I've only just discovered this advice on Pinterest. But yes, I'd say it's accurate. Changing Kathryn (2nd edition written 2014) I truly thought was publishable. Upon reading it thoroughly...no, it was trash. Hence the reason I started over with a clean slate, as I've been updating you all on throughout this very blog. And yes, the version I'm reworking now is so much better. I mean, there are a lot of snags I've been hitting...but trust me, it will be worth it. But whatever you do, DO NOT delete the original. Store it in a separate folder marked 'original copy' or whatever you want to call it. But DO NOT delete it. It may come in handy one day. Many of my originals certainly have. (At the very least so I can see how I've grown as a writer.)
And that concludes this 'helpful tip'.
